Create unforgettable memories with your loved one amidst the magic of sunset game drives, luxurious accommodations, and starlit dinners under the vast African sky.

A romantic getaway in the wilderness.

Africa has everything a traveling couple could wish for. Whether it’s your honeymoon or ‘just because’, an African safari for couples is replete with luxurious accommodations, private excursions, great food and wine, as well as tropical African beaches and wonderful wildlife experiences.

The ideal place to begin your great adventure together for a honeymoon safari, or to reignite the wonder and enthusiasm from years gone by. Africa epitomizes romance and excitement.

Candle lit dinners for two on the balcony of your luxury safari tent, with lions calling in the distance. Unhurried meals, taken outdoors and with the African wilds as your backdrop. Adventurous activities that bring you closer together. And sumptious beds with incredible views in well-appointed safari tents and suites.

The best African safaris for couples offer a perfect blend of adventure, romance, and luxury. Destinations like the Serengeti and Maasai Mara in East Africa, the waterways of the Okavango Delta, the vast views across the Namib desert, and the lush greenery of the South African winelands. All provide stunning landscapes, 5* food and wine, and exceptional wildlife encounters, perfect for romantic getaways. Couples can indulge in private game drives, intimate bush dinners, and luxurious accommodations, creating unforgettable memories in the heart of the African wilderness.
There are many safari lodges that are perfect for a romantic getaway. A romantic safari lodge should offer a combination of privacy, luxury, and intimate experiences. Private suites with secluded verandas or plunge pools provide a romantic setting, while personalized service and attention to detail are the foundation of the overall experience. Dining options such as private bush dinners under the stars add to the romance, and opportunities for exclusive activities for just the two of you. A stunning natural setting with wildlife viewing opportunities adds to the allure of a safari lodge for a romantic escape – as does a lodge that doesn’t accept kids under a certain age.

On a romantic safari, couples can enjoy so many unforgettable activities together, tailored to enhance their bond. Private game drives offer the chance to spot iconic wildlife while enjoying the serenity of the bush. Sunset boat cruises along tranquil waterways provide intimate moments as the day fades into twilight. Couples can also embark on guided nature walks, sharing in the heart-pumping experiences of the sights and sounds of the bush up close. Couples can also indulge in private dining experiences under the vast African sky – and even star beds at select lodges for an overnight experience unlike any other. There is no shortage of romantic pursuits on an African safari.

Privacy on a romantic safari is paramount, offering couples the opportunity to enjoy intimate moments away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Many safari lodges provide secluded accommodations, whether in private luxury tents or secluded suites, ensuring couples have their own space to unwind and connect. Additionally, activities such as private game drives, secluded bush dinners, and exclusive experiences tailored for two offer further privacy and intimacy. With vast expanses of wilderness to explore, couples can find private spots to enjoy breathtaking views and create cherished memories together, making a romantic safari a truly undisturbed and unforgettable experience.

SOUTH AFRICA HONEYMOON SAFARI

12 days and 11 nights exploring the best city, winelands & safari life that south africa has to offer.

Start your journey in the bustling city of Cape Town which presents an alluring combination of drawcards. White beaches, highly acclaimed wine routes, and astonishingly beautiful mountain trails surround a cosmopolitan hub. This diverse metropolis is filled with superb shops and restaurants, extraordinary heritage monuments, a multitude of entertainment venues, and a spectacular, chic waterfront harbour.

Move onward just 140 kilometres from Cape Town, to the town of Hermanus, which has grown from a small seaside resort town to become arguably the best-known place for whale watching in the world.

Then it’s off to the inspiring landscapes of the Cape Winelands, where you’ll find heritage town Franschhoek and a world-renowned food and wine destination. Five-star restaurants alongside the cellars are surrounded by the same jaw-dropping valley scenes and rows of vines that have brought artists and writers to the area for centuries.

Finally, cap off the perfect South African romantic safari itinerary with a stay at the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve. Adjacent to the Kruger National Park, it is the first-ever private nature reserve established in South Africa with a landscape featuring 65,000 hectares of savannah-covered land interspersed with watering holes, dry river beds, Lowveld woodlands, and the perennial Sabi and Sand rivers. This spectacular reserve offers exceptional game viewing opportunities with frequent sightings of the renowned Big Five along with dining under the stars, guided bush walks and enjoying a stay in some of South Africa’s most luxurious safari lodges.

EAST AFRICA COUPLES ADVENTURE SAFARI

13 days and 12 nights and spanning 4 different and wildly unique African countries – Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya & Tanzania.

From bush to beach and everything in between, this East African safari is perfect for the adventurous couple or honeymoon safari goers.

You’ll begin your romantic safari of adventure in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali. Stretching across lush undulating hills and surrounded by towering mountains, Kigali is the country’s financial, commercial and cultural hub, served by an international airport and featuring a wide range of accommodation options. It also offers a collection of restaurants, an atmospheric market and numerous craft shops.

Head onwards to Lake Mutanda, a small freshwater lake sandwiched between the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in the Virunga Mountains of Uganda. Set against a misty mountain backdrop, the picturesque lake is dotted with islands, and the surrounding landscape is scattered with wetland ecosystems and lakeside forests stretching up the mountain slopes which provide a safe habitat for the endangered mountain gorilla. Visitors can look forward to gorilla tracking, bird watching, lake lounging, volcano hiking, and paddling in a traditional dugout canoe.

A stopover in the expansive city of Nairobi, Kenya. Nairobi – Africa’s 4th largest city. Cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum and most notably, just 20 minutes from the city centre, wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. A visit to the elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a once in a lifetime experience.

Further inland we arrive at the Masai Mara in Kenya with Tanzania’s Serengeti, which together form Africa’s most famous wildlife reserve. The undeniable highlight is the annual wildebeest migration, with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Finally it’s time to hit the beach. With its gorgeous palm trees, powder white sand, and glistening azure waters, Diani Beach is a popular resort area on Kenya’s magnificent Indian Ocean shoreline. Warm seas and exquisite coral reefs are the ideal environments for water-based activities including snorkeling, scuba diving, and boat safaris. An array of excellent shops and alluring sea-facing restaurants completes the package of this destination.
