We highly recommend Wilderness Safari's explorations for cost effective and extremely well guided small group safaris. The maximum number of people on these trips is 8 plus your guide. Having the same guide throughout the trip is a great bonus, and gives the trip continuity; wonderful friendships are often forged on these scheduled departure safaris, with like minded people from all over the world joining up for a safari in Africa - they are great fun! The level of comfort depends on the type of trip and varies from adventurer style camping to comfortable luxury tented camps and lodges. Transfers between each camp are a combination of road transfers and light aircraft flights.

The Great Walk of Africa, Kenya
Following game trails you will make a 12 day crossing of the immense wilderness of Tsavo, Kenya, in a true explorer's style safari. The route will take you along the courses of both the Tsavo and Galana Rivers, moving camp every day, and experiencing Africa's unique wildlife and birdlife. Tsavo is big game country: elephant, Cape buffalo, hippo, lion and leopard.
The camps are stylish, food is gourmet and camp staff have 25 years safari experience behind them.
Iain Allan of Tropical Ice has spent most of his life in Tsavo, and will guide every Great Walk departure.
Vehicles move the camp and personal belongings every day, and your days on Tsavo's rivers will be gloriously full: Walking the mornings; resting away the afternoons; game-driving the last hours of daylight in specially designed 4x4 safari vehicles.
This is truly one of Africa's finest adventures.
