Camp Hwange, Zimbabwe

Ideally situated in a private area within Hwange National Park, just 3 hours by road from Victoria Falls. Camp Hwange’s emphasis is on an exceptional guiding experience. Walking safaris are the key  safari experience , led by very experienced and knowledgeable guides.

The camp consists of 8 tented chalets overlooking a permanent waterhole. tent at Camp HwangeEach spacious and airy thatched room is furnished with stylish simplicity, with en-suite bathroom facilities.

Camp Hwange is ideally located within Hwange, shaded on the one side by a Teak forest, with the other side overlooking a large open plain, and close to that are vast areas of Mopane forest which attract a variety of animals and birds. The diversity of fauna and flora ensuring that safaris are very productive. The nearby rocky outcrops add another unique aspect to walking safaris as the diminutive Klipspringer and Leopard frequent this area. A thatched observation post at the Masuna waterhole is the perfect spot to quietly marvel at the massive herds of Elephants and Buffalo who daily quench their thirst during the dry season, peacefully sharing this oasis with Kudu, Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Baboon and many others.

During walks with very experienced guides you will track and follow Africa’s big game animals, secure in the knowledge that your guides and trackers are competent in all aspects of this exciting adventure. Not only will you get the chance to see iconic species such as elephant and lion, sightings and the habits of the smaller, lesser known species and aspects of the African bush will be explained you, giving you an insight into the mysteries of how all things depend on each other.

There are no time restrictions to activities, the walks and game drives will be governed by what you see and not meal times. Hampers of delicious foodstuffs and refreshments will accompany every adventure into the bush, be it on foot or vehicle.
