La Quartier Francais Auberge

Le Quartier is superbly located just off the main street in the village of Franschhoek. The service and cuisine are second to none, and dinner reservations at The Tasting Room are essential (ask us to make reservations for you). The ultra comfy rooms are located around a gorgeous swimming pool, and the whole place is a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the main street.

For small groups or families there is also the Four Quarters which has 4 luxury suites and a private pool; or across the road there is the very private Cottage, which is a home away from home and sleeps four or five people comfortably and ideal for a family.

April 2009 - Le Quartier Français has been included, for the 5th consecutive year (and 6th year overall), in the S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants. This year saw them clinch the coveted Best Restaurant in Africa and the Middle East title and place 37th overall.

Franschhoek Country House

Franschhoek Country House is located a short drive from Franschhoek village. The hotel has been extended over the years and is now quite a large establishment. The service and rooms are very nice, and we do offer this hotel as a fairly cost effective option for an overnight in the winelands; however we feel it may appeal more to larger groups, rather than couples looking for a boutique style hotel with wonderful cuisine.

Grande Roche

Grande Roche is absolutely beautiful.... to sit and enjoy a wonderful meal on the verandha with the Paarl winelands and mountains as a back drop, really is something special. This Relais & Chateaux hotel is a 45 minute drive from Cape Town and an ideal spot to kick off a tour around the winelands and Garden Route, especially if you are foody and wine nut. A night here before diving deeper into the valleys and villages further on, would really set a wonderful precedent.

Klein Genot Wine & Country Estate

Klein Genot Wine & Country Estate is magical and really quite extraordinary; with only 6 rooms, impeccable personal service is guaranteed. Each room over looks the lush gardens and breathtaking Franschhoek mountains surround the property. The Genot Restaurant is a casual 10 minute stroll away through the vinyards - if you are not up up to walking back after your meal, someone from the hotel will happily collect you.

We highly recommend this hotel to people looking for peace and quite and who are self driving - the main street of Franschhoek is a 7-minute drive away.
