Tena Tena Camp
On arrival at Mfuwe Airport in the Luangwa valley, you will be met by your Robin Pope Safaris guide who will drive you to Tena Tena Camp. The drive takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes through local villages.
Tena Tena is a remote and small camp (max 10 guests) lying within the South Luangwa National Park and enjoys a stunning location on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River. A grove of mahogany trees shade the large custom-made tents. From the thatched dining room and bar, guests can watch the elephants, hippo and antelope on the river banks. Nearby there is a spectacular lagoon, Buca Buca, where a whole morning can be spent quietly sitting while the game comes down to feed and drink. With the camp being remote and small, you have these scenes to yourself.

Days 3 & 4
Nsefu Camp
After breakfast at Tena Tena you will be transferred by road to Nsefu Camp, alternatively you can walk to Nsefu with your guide and an armed park ranger. The two camps are not far apart and the walk will take you 4 to 5 hours through fantastic game country.
On a sweeping bend of the river, 12 kilometers north of Tena Tena, lies Nsefu. Nsefu was the first photographic safari camp in Zambia and dates back to the early fifties. The Nsefu Sector was recognised then as a phenomenal area and it still is. The camp was re-opened in 1999, in keeping with the original style, and is one of only two camps in the Nsefu Sector of the park (the other being Tena Tena).
The view of the river is superb and includes a terraced area where game grazes during the day. The bar, tucked in beside a huge extinct termite mound, overlooks a waterhole that is very productive for game, especially leopard at night. The original rondavels have been extended, with a spacious bathroom added. Each room has a clear view of the river, through large windows and from the new wooden verandah. The camp lies in the heart of the undeveloped Nsefu sector and so offers charm and total comfort in remoteness and seclusion.

Days 5, 6 & 7
Chongwe River Camp
After breakfast at Nsefu Camp you will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport to connect with your flight to the Zambezi River and Chongwe River Camp.
Chongwe River Camp is situated on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers, directly opposite Mana Pools.
The Chongwe River is the boundary of the Lower Zambezi National Park, a four thousand square kilometre pristine sanctuary, teeming with game, and said to be one of the continent's most picturesque wilderness areas.
A policy of non-intrusive enjoyment of wildlife and low environmental impact has preserved the area and its wildlife. The Lower Zambezi has become one of southern Africa's premier destinations for peaceful game viewing and unparalleled tiger fish angling.
The camp itself looks onto the confluence of the two rivers and the mountains of the escarpment to the north.
